Vox Media was reported to the Deceptive Design Tip Line over its cookie handling. According to the report, the reporter was denied the opportunity to reject cookies: rather than offering a way to decline within the cookie-policy box that took up half of the screen, the site provided instructions for disabling cookies through the browser. The report adds that the same notice warned that, without HTTP cookies and HTML5 and Flash local storage, the reporter might not be able to take full advantage of all the site’s features and that parts of the site would not function properly.
