Twitter was reported to the Deceptive Design Tip Line over a prompt about personalised ads in its Android app. According to the report, users would sometimes be asked at random to opt in to personalised ads, with no clear button to decline and no way to exit the prompt, not even using the system’s back button. The reporter said the only way past it was to drag the prompt upwards, which uncovered a small “Keep less relevant ads” text button.
