T-Mobile was reported to the Deceptive Design Tip Line over an unclear opt-out control. According to the report, the option to opt out is an “off-on” button that is incredibly unclear: it is not apparent whether “off” means the company will not sell the user’s information, or whether it means the opt-out itself is off and the company will sell the information.

“The option to opt-out is an ‘off-on’ button that is incredibly unclear (does ‘off’ mean that they will NOT sell my information? or that the opt-out if ‘off’, meaning they WILL sell my information?).”
